Melinda Hughes-Berland of Hughes Photography has been chosen as the Photographer of the Year by the Professional Photographers of The Wine Country at their annual banquet. Melinda also received the People's Choice Award for her image, "The Guardian" and and also received first place in the electronic photography division for her image, "Nesting Egrets".

PHOTOGRAPHY MASTERS CUP HONORS PHOTOGRAPHER MELINDA HUGHES-BERLAND FROM U.S.A.

LOS ANGELES (2/16/13) - Professional photographer Melinda Hughes-Berland of the United States of America was presented with the 6th Annual Photography Masters Cup Outstanding Achievement Award in the category of Wildlife at a prestigious Nomination & Winners Photoshow. The live online ceremony webcast Saturday, February 16, 2013 was attended by photography fans in 86 countries who logged on to see the climax of the industry's most important event for color photography.

Local Photographer Named Diamond Photographer of the Year at International Photographic Competition

Melinda Hughes-Berland of Hughes Photography received the highest honors for her photography during this international competition.

Santa Rosa, California* - *Melinda Hughes-Berland* of *Hughes Photography* in *Santa Rosa, CA *was named a Diamond Photographer of the Year during the Professional Photographers of America’s International Photographic Competition. She will be honored at the PPA’a annual convention, Imaging USA, this coming January in New Orleans, LA.

Only a select few photographers each year receive such a designation. Earning it means that each of Hughes-Berland’s four submitted images were honored with a merit at the International Photographic Competition...

The End of the Year Awards for 2010 Professional Photographers of
California were judged in January of 2011. Melinda Hughes-Berland
received a Special Judge's Award for her image, "The Edge of the
Earth" and first place in the illustrative category, plus the second
highest score in the California State Print Competition. Also scoring
high with an 84 was "The Phantom Stallion of the Knolls" (illustrative), "Classic Beauty" (portrait) with an 81 and "Stallions
of the Gods" (illustrative) with an 80.

Also, at the their January banquet in Santa Rosa, California, Melinda
received the Photographer of the Year Award from The Professional
Photographers of Redwood Empire as well as First Place in the portrait
division, First Place in the Illustrative division as well as the
Photographer's Choice Award.
